Giulia Coti Zelati
Associate Director
Giulia is a versatile dance creative, with a specialism in dance filmmaking, learning and participation, production and teaching/lecturing.
After pursuing a BA(Hons) and MA in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School, Giulia has worked in a variety of different roles in dance, with 8+ years of experience working with arts venues, 10+ years of experience as a dance facilitator, and 6+ years of experience as a dance filmmaker.
In 2018 her film Warped, commissioned by Tyneside Cinema, True North TV and Home Manchester as part of the Random Acts education, training and production programme, was selected for Channel 4's online Random Acts showcase. A year later, she co-founded Tiny Dances and, by 2020, they had created 30+ short dance films with 40+ collaborators.
As a filmmaker, she has collaborated with artists and organisations including Gavin Coward, Curious Arts, Lo-Giudice Dance, Patricia Verity Suarez, Adam Russell, Hartlepool Council and Hartlepool Waterfront Festival, Dance City and Pagrav Dance Company. She also led a number of dance for camera residencies with CAT and BA students.
